Decorating your house for smaller holidays, like Valentine’s Day, doesn’t need to be expensive! You can find a lot of cute and inexpensive Valentine’s Day décor and do a lot with it! You can even use certain pieces interchangeably with different seasons or holidays. In this post you will get ideas for inexpensive decor and see how you can use some of the decor for spring and summer decoration as well!
Always a great decor idea for any season or holiday is books! I found “love themed” or “love titled” books at Dollar Tree and Half Price books. I stacked them together and leaned them against a cute bookend I found at Hobby Lobby.
I bought mine at Michaels. I used them in a DIY project “Small Adorable DIY Heart Topiaries.” I am also using them in my apothecary jars, as table scatter, and small filler in already decorated areas around the home.
Any candle in general is a nice decoration but I love using pillar candles because you can use them all year ‘round. Plain or decorate them with ribbon to match the festive colors of that holiday season.

I hope these ideas help give you some inspiration for decorating your home. I always find it hard to decorate for smaller holidays, because no one wants to spend a ton of money on that. But knowing you can do it pretty inexpensively makes it so much more fun and easier! Happy Decorating! 💗
